Mr. McCabe offers over 20 years of progressive financial and accounting management experience ranging from fast growth entrepreneurial corporations to established Fortune 500 companies. Industry experience includes national retailers and distribution companies, telecommunication, ISO9000 manufacturing and international consumer products. Mr. McCabe utilizes a cost-effective management style that motivates employees and co-workers to function as a team instead of individual units. These efforts have been rewarded with consistently increasing responsibilities in fast paced environments, working directly with the Chief Executive Officer, CFO and the Board of Directors for multi million dollar corporations.
Mr. McCabe has directed and implemented financial and operational business planning functions, evaluated operational impact of mergers, acquisitions and divestitures. He has managed the evaluation, implementation and conversion of business systems, performed root-cause analysis, capital project reviews, new and mature market developments, product cost/pricing strategies, initiated inventory control policies and procedures. Michael has directed the valuation and securing of operating lines of credit for major corporations, as well as negotiated successfully a multi-million dollar equity investment package for a startup company.
Some of Michael’s recent accomplishments include multiple consulting engagements with a $60 billion-dollar drug distribution corporation on the reengineering key aspects of their accounts payable, accounts receivable and contract charge back operations. Respectively, this resulted in a $70 million decrease in late A/P payments, $35.0 million collection of trade receivables and a 15% increase for cash receipts for the $1.5 billion contract charge back operations and over improved relations with primary trade vendors for both groups.
Additionally, Mr. McCabe directed projects to reengineer the A/P processes for a $900 million national hotel operation and a $1.2 billion technical services company. The Hotel project was a full process accounting upgrade from a mostly manual operation in preparation for an accounting systems conversion to Oracle Financial Software. The technical services company, in addition to managing critical cash control points, required evaluation and integration of a data imaging system into their PeopleSoft accounting program.
